little girls vintage tea birthday party

My daughter, Charlotte, is 4 today! To celebrate we decided to do a tea party with a few of her friends. For Christmas, she got a mini tea party set and has just loved it. So I decided why not? The theme was set now all I had to do was put it all together. I took the pendant from her room (that I made her a while ago) and all of the papers I got on super clearance at a local craft store (that went out of business).

I got my inspiration for the cake here. Mine doesn’t look half as good, but hey, I still think it turned out ok. Tissue pom-poms are super easy to make. Find the tutorial here. I didn’t want the TV as the center of attention, so I covered it up with a large format print. It cost me only $6 to get it printed.

Here’s my princess! Isn’t she sweet!

Super simple menu. It included: strawberries, raspberries, pb & jelly sandwiches cut in circles, cupcakes, animal crackers, crystal light (that was the tea) and marshmallows on a stick. Lots of sugar, sorry moms….

The cake! Doesn’t it look delicious! The center is just the buttercream frosting with coolwhip mixed in. Yum!

This is one of the patterns I designed for the invitation. My dream would have been to get them printed on paper and fabric for the party, but that took time and money, which I didn’t have a lot of right now. I had just got home from ALT in SLC. I’ll tell you more about that later…..

Detail on the napkin rings. I designed them and had them printed on sticker labels. Super easy. Same as the thank you treats, I just used some of the graphics from Char’s birthday invitation and put them on the labels.

I made each of the girls these headbands.

Gift buckets were only $3 a piece and are filled with headbands, candy, bracelet, socks, hair tie, and more candy. Thank you Target dollar section on CLEARANCE!!!! (50% off!)

Marshmallows dipped in white chocolate and sprinkles. Super easy. The girls loved them!
