I had a blast designing this vintage looking postcard. I was inspired by this amazing postcard and wanted to use texture, watercolor and a vintage look. I think I pulled it off well. I first played around in the watercolors, using woven ribbons to get the textured squares. Even my four year old daughter had fun doing that part. Then I put them into heart shapes and added the mini hearts. Those are my favorite. They kind of look like they are floating away.
Feel free to print it off for personal use and send it to all of your Valentines. Get the free download. Enjoy. Make sure to check back tomorrow for Day 3 of the Free Valentine’s Downloads.

This is the back of the postcard. I used a sweet font called OilCan. The Lost Type Co-Op also has lots of other amazing vintage looking fonts. To download them, you can make a donation to the designer in any amount or enter “0″ for a freebie.
