I’m so happy with the way this invitation turned out. This was my first time trying calligraphy with Adobe Illustrator CS5 variable width tool. So fun! I’m so happy CS6 came out and want it so bad, especially since I’m still using CS4. But, it does cost a pretty penny. But hey, it’s a business expense right! Plus I really want to try the pattern tool in Illustrator Cs6.
I love the stripe on the back too. Chelsea even put washi tape on the back of her envelopes. Too cute huh?

I have a question for you. I just bought CS6 with the intention of taking an intro course through UVU. After I bought it, I realized I didn’t have time for the course & didn’t like the idea of graded assignments, so I dropped it. How did you learn how to use illustrator? Do you have any books or videos that you’d recommend? I’d prefer to use something that is a go at your own pace sort of learning style. I REALLY am dying to learn how to use illustrator & photoshop, especially the CS6 versions, but am completely lost. Any suggestions? (And thank you, in advance!)
